En dashes between numbers (pages 10–12) become a hyphen (10-12). Emoji joiners are kept. Line breaks are always preserved.

It removes characters you cannot see, such as zero-width spaces, word joiners, byte order marks and direction marks, and swaps unusual spaces like no-break spaces for normal ones. Optionally it converts em dashes, curly quotes and the … character, strips Markdown symbols like ** and ##, and tidies extra blank lines. Your words are never changed.

No, and it does not try to. Detectors look at word choice and sentence patterns, which TidySnap never touches. It is a formatting tool: it fixes the hidden characters and symbols that break layouts, word counts, search and code when you paste text into another app.
No. Zero-width joiners that sit between two emoji (for example in family or flag sequences) are kept, so emoji stay intact. A joiner between ordinary letters is removed.
